MEET THE PRACTITIONERS
Founder & Principal Massage Therapist, CMT
Memi is a Certified Sports Massage Therapist and the Director of Bodywork at Download Wellness. When starting this journey, Memi decided she wanted to have a wellness studio that was for all people and offered a variety of services under one roof with free parking. At the time, being a single mother of 3 (twins and a terrific toddler), she found that there wasn’t much time left in a day for self-care and relaxation. So Download Wellness was born. I wondered if other single mothers like myself struggled to find time for themselves or to even vacation. Download Wellness gives clients the option to relax in a retreat type setting at the Embarcadero Oakland location and seasoned wellness practitioners to work in one location that allows for them to be sustainable in the Bay Area.
Memi has a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management. Throughout Memi’s journey as a wellness practitioner, she has witnessed the transformative shifts in health that can occur when clients adopt a routine of bodywork, diet management, and breathing exercise. She has established a strong client base and has an excellent reputation for bodywork throughout the Bay Area.

She attended massage school at McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, CA in 2014 to gain a more in-depth understanding of the body. She offers a personalized approach to massage with a foundation in Swedish massage and reflexology with further training in health transitions such as pre and post-natal, chronic health conditions, elders, and hospice. With over 6 years of experience in massage, Andrea has learned to meet her clients at their comfort levels and discover how to use massage therapy to facilitate them in healing and finding balance in their physical body.
She has obtained two associate degrees from Diablo Valley College in Allied Health and Natural Science and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from UCSEB in 2018. In her free time, she likes to hike in the hills with her 13-year-old pit bull and relax in nature.
Cranial Sacral Massage Intern
Ryan Approaches Bodywork with gentle, intuitive, and spacious energy that allows his clients to sink deeply into an ocean of relaxation and restoration. With a certification in Craniosacral Therapy, Biodynamic Stillness Touch, and a background in meditation/spiritual coaching, energy healing, astrology, and massage - he assists people to cultivate balance holistically and is deeply committed to helping others achieve wellness, rejuvenation, and transformation.
His approach to healing is simple: your thoughts affect your emotions, and your emotions directly affect your physical health. If the human body is placed in an environment that evokes peace and calm and is allowed to settle into a still state, it will intrinsically activate its internal healing process — easing or eliminating past traumas, as it begins to integrate all its systems, and comes into a state of balance — or what Ryan likes to see as a unified field of coherence. This field of calm stillness is available to everyone and to him is the key to nourishing the central nervous system and our sense of wellbeing.
Ryan has been passionate about helping people discover and experience this state of profound stillness for themselves and the health benefits that arise naturally and spontaneously from visiting it regularly. He has been assisting people in his local East Bay Area Community since 2017 and has been so excited to offer this work and create a positive impact in the world one person at a time.
