Dr. Heidi Bartlett, DAOM, L.Ac.,
Dr. Heidi Bartlett, DAOM, L.Ac., became interested in practicing acupuncture when it relieved her chronic sinus pain and congestion. Most recently, she experienced the power of acupuncture during chemotherapy. Today she is in remission and believes her return to health was greatly aided by acupuncture treatments.
Because of her personal experience, her practice focuses on treating common colds, congestion, allergies and chronic nasal problems, as well as all kinds of pain relating to bones, muscles, tendons and nerves. She specializes in supporting those who need acupuncture during or after their cancer treatment. Because chemotherapy drastically affects the digestive system, utilizing acupuncture can help reduce symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and weakness.
Heidi is a licensed acupuncturist, and graduated with her doctorate in Asian and Oriental medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, California. Her master’s degree is from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medical College in Berkeley, California. She is also Chief Resident in the first Integrative Medicine residency program in the United States. The program started at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California, and recently moved to Alta Bates in Oakland, California. Heidi has done internships with the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University in China, treated student athletes at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as low income women at the San Francisco Prenatal program.
Heidi became an acupuncturist to help other people achieve the same health and well-being that she enjoys as a result of the medicine. She feels strongly that acupuncture, herbal formulas, and diet together help people improve their health.

Certified Massage Therapist
Ken was born and raised in Midland, Texas and spent several years in the Dallas area before moving to California. He has lived here (Bay Area to LA then back to the Bay Area) for 23 years and happily calls California his home.
He believes that the body is a combination of many moving parts, systems and tissues working in unison. They’re what keeps us going and, unfortunately, what ends up causing us discomfort from time to time. Whether you’re active (long-distance runner or mother-of-five) or sedentary (office worker or couch potato), certain muscles will be affected by what you do, over-do and under-do. That’s why massage is so important; the power of touch can be vital to areas that are both strained and pained. As a massage therapist, he addresses these types of issues related to the physical body as well as contributing factors like stress, anxiousness and fatigue. It’s important for him to gain a sense of how you’re feeling emotionally—a very important piece of the human puzzle. Aligning and balancing everything to the best of his ability are key to be a truly healthy person.
He combine techniques from Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Cranial-Sacral and Tui Na modalities. He typically ends with gentle touch points on the scalp and face as well as a full-body balancing.
Certified Sports & Deep Tissue Massage Therapist
Elshia is from Los Angels, California. As an experienced and Certified Massage Therapist her favorite modalities include sports, deep tissue and myofascial techniques. Personally, she has and continue to remain physically active through training capoeira, running, swimming, and surfing. For this reason, she loves to practice deep work on clients because she knows how it feels to work your muscles hard and experience the incredible release of tension from knotty, tight muscles. Other modalities she employs include sports massage, lymphatic drainage, Swedish, and prenatal massage.
